This is genuine Emerald from Brazil — not treated, not enhanced, just natural. Each stone is a small piece of one of the most prized gemstones on earth, tumbled to a smooth finish.
Emerald is a green variety of the mineral beryl, coloured by trace amounts of chromium and vanadium. It has been treasured for thousands of years. Cleopatra was famously passionate about emeralds, and ancient Egyptians considered them a stone of immortality.
Unlike the flawless, glass-clear emeralds you see in high-end jewellery (which are often treated or lab-created), natural emeralds almost always contain inclusions — tiny fractures, veils, and black veining. These are called "jardin" (French for garden) and are considered proof of authenticity.
A completely flawless emerald is either incredibly rare (and expensive) or not natural at all.
