Tiger's Eye Tumbled Stone – Gold/Brown – Confidence & Protection
Tiger's Eye Tumbled Stone
Tiger's Eye is often called a "confidence stone" but that is only scratching the surface. This ancient stone is far more powerful: a guide through liminal space, a companion for thresholds, and a tool for navigating major life transitions.
- Confidence — believed to help you speak up, show up, and trust your instincts without second-guessing
- Protection — worn by Roman soldiers as a talisman in battle; often set into their helmets and weaponry for courage and defence
- Grounding — connects you to the earth's stable energy while keeping your head clear for important decisions
- Mental clarity — believed to target the solar plexus chakra, responsible for creativity, willpower, and motivation
- Emotional resilience — said to help overcome fear and self-doubt, encouraging determination and focus
- Balance — believed to balance masculine and feminine energies, promoting emotional stability
Unlike uniform stones like Amethyst or Rose Quartz, Tiger's Eye has a unique optical effect called chatoyancy — from the French œil de chat, meaning "cat's eye". This effect is caused by parallel fibrous veins of the mineral crocidolite that have been replaced by silica, creating a luminous band of light that moves across the stone's surface when tilted.
The golden-brown colour of classic Tiger's Eye is the most sought-after variety, with well-defined bands of warm gold, rich amber, and earthy brown. Stones with strong, clear chatoyancy command higher prices, ranging from $2 to $100 per carat depending on quality.
This listing is for the classic Gold/Brown Tiger's Eye.
