This is Bloodstone — a powerful, grounding stone with a deep green hue flecked with red. Also known as "Heliotrope", Bloodstone has been revered for centuries as a stone of courage, strength, and purification .
Bloodstone is a variety of chalcedony (cryptocrystalline quartz) containing red iron oxide inclusions. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed it was formed from the blood of Christ, and it was carried by warriors for protection and strength .
